Growing up on film sets, I’ve always had an obsession with world building. The intricate set details, the actors deep in character, the blurring of lines between what is real and what is make-believe.
As I got older, I began to crave stories exploring women and queer characters in traditionally male dominated roles and power dynamics.
When I discovered photography and filmmaking, it was a liberating experience, one where I could showcase my identity with no bounds. I could create the stories I wanted to see, in the worlds lurking in my imagination. These worlds empowered me to explore the parts of myself I feared most and allowed for a deeper sense of self acceptance.
Harmony in Gold is an exploration of one of my worlds. A world where women are in control, where desire runs free and inhibitions are tossed to the wind. In this world, femininity is delicious and reigns over all.
