Leica Gallery LA and the American Society of Cinematographers are delighted to invite you to the opening of an exhibition of still photographs by ASC members at the Leica Gallery LA. These photos have been selected and curated by Leica Gallery Director Paris Chong. The photographs cover a wide range of subjects and locations and show how masters of the moving image also have finely tuned instincts for capturing powerful images in a single frame.
The American Society of Cinematographers was founded in Hollywood in 1919 with the dual purpose of advancing the art and science of cinematography and bringing cinematographers together to exchange ideas, discuss techniques and promote the motion picture as an art form—a mission that continues today.
