My Father ( a life-long Leica man) trained me on my first Leica when he used to give me one roll of Tri-X and an assignment as a 14 year old. For my 30th Birthday he gave me his “Jahre 50th Anniversary” LeicaFlex SL2 with endless lenses and it has not left my hands or life since.
I shoot with a gorgeous Elmarit – R – 1.2.8 24mm. Very wide angle lens. It suits my work as I am able to get the framing and depth of field I want. I began this project in 2009 and to date I believe I have taken over 4000 shots.
“Not In Your Face” was born by photographing in the streets only to find she was oftentimes standing at a corner with those who chose to wear a message on their back willing to advertise their affiliations and likes and dislikes.
