Eddy Chen works as a Hollywood stills photographer. He finds his creative passion in capturing cinematic moments on set with his Leica cameras. His love for these cameras stems from their precision and timeless design. With every frame, Eddy strives to capture dynamic and iconic imagery that will stand the test of time.
Q&A:
When did you start using Leica?
I started using the Leica Q when it became available in 2016. I still use it today. It’s still a fantastic camera.
What is your favorite camera?
My favorite camera has got to be my Leica MP. I love that thing and I’m seldom seen without it in hand.
What is your favorite subject matter to shoot?
I love shooting people because they’re the most dynamic subject matter in my opinion.
What other Leica camera are you thinking of getting?
I really want the new Q and have been thinking about the new M11 too.
How has Leica changed your life?
The community of Leica users has been wonderful! I exhibited my photos for the first time over the summer at the Leica Gallery LA and it was very special to me.
