Q&A:
When did you start using Leica?
While I had used various M cameras for years prior, I really started shooting Leica cameras every day in early 2016 with the release of the original Q. I’ve since added SL and M cameras to the mix but the Q cameras are always my default.
What is your favorite camera?
Most definitely the Q series of cameras. No other system combines the image quality and ease-of-use in the same way that a Q does. It’s the most frictionless tool I have worked with.
What is your favorite subject matter to shoot?
Environmental portraiture has yielded some of my favorite images – and I think of that as essentially an image that provides an opportunity for a lot of contextual information while still having a purposeful focal point.
What other Leica camera are you thinking of getting?
I recently picked up an MP again after letting mine go a few years ago – and I’ve been loving it to say the least.
How has Leica changed your life?
The brand as provided not only the essential tools I need but a community of people with shared values that has been a jumping off point to both professional work and many great friendships.
